The Monogram & Leopard Square Set is a mini add-on pattern that can be used to customize your Daisy Mae Cardigan. The Daisy Mae Cardigan Pattern (which is available separately on my website) includes instructions on how to create and assemble a plain colored patchwork cardigan, so if you’re planning on making a cardigan like the one pictured there you’ll want to have that pattern handy as well. This pattern will only cover two 7”x7” square designs (the FF monogram logo and leopard print).
If you haven’t purchased the Daisy Mae Cardigan Pattern and you’d only like to purchase this pattern here, that’s totally okay! The squares were designed to be compatible with my signature cardigan design, but that doesn’t mean you can’t incorporate them into all sorts of different crochet projects! Consider using your squares to create a tote bag, a mini skirt, a scarf, the options are endless.
This pattern will include an easy to follow chart for each design, as well as some instructions and explanations regarding intarsia crochet and color switching. You’ll need category 4 medium weight yarn in three different colors. I used acrylic yarn from the brand Big Twist in the colors Black, Camel and Cream. You’ll of course need a crochet hook (I used my J-5.75mm hook), scissors, and a yarn needle to weave in your ends. Both squares will be completed using single crochets (US terminology).
